Window's Movie

Windows Movie Maker is a great tool for making a movie-like slideshow. The user can upload numerous photos to Windows Movie Makers and it will play them back in the order you choose. Sound or music can be added to the background. You can also choose from tons of different ways to present the photos.  This can help with the following NETS-T Standard:
 1. Facilitate and Inspire Student Learning and Creativity:
Teachers use their knowledge of subject matter, teaching and learning, and technology to facilitate experiences that advance student learning, creativity, and innovation in both face-to-face and virtual environments. Teachers:
a. Promote, support, and model creative and innovative thinking and inventiveness.
I think this because Windows Movie Maker lets students create their own movie (presentation) in the manner they choose. They can use personal photographs or ones they chose from the internet.

Windows Movie Maker can not only be used for class, but for at-home use. A mother could make a slideshow of her child's first birthday or a child could make a movie of him and his best friend's camping trip. There are many, many ways for Windows Movie Maker to be used. It is a little tough to use in the beginning, but so worth it in the end.
