Web Tools 2.0

Web 2.0 tools are designed to construct knowledge and build literacy skills. Web 2.0 tools include blogs, wikis, podcasts, photo sharing, and video sharing. Teachers and students could use blogs to write assignments or to turn in assignments like we do in this class. A teacher could use photo sharing to share photos with the class if they are at home. Podcasts could be used to give a class or a speech on that could be listened to outside of the classroom. Also, teachers could put links up to more popular sites (such as YouTube or other video sites) to have the students watch the videos at home. Wikis could be used for teachers and students to easily communicate throw the Internet. Web 2.0 tools help students be creative. Web 2.0 tools help with the following NETS-T Standard:
1. model collaborative knowledge construction by engaging in learning with students, colleagues, and others in face-to-face and virtual environments.model collaborative knowledge construction by engaging in learning with students, colleagues, and others in face-to-face and virtual environments.  I think this because web 2.0 tools engage students in learning by using many different techniques.
